comment Niqqud of the name of the מהר"ץ חיות
I don't know: this really looks like a JL&L question for me, and it seems to relate to Judaism (i.e. learning). It's important to know how to pronounce the names of the meforshim we quote.

I guess my Hebrew might be a bit poor, but is he saying that it is not known, or that he doesn't know?

comment Why aren't some the daily brachot made only once in a lifetime?
@doubleAA True. But they are acknowledgement about what is done for us on a continual basis.

comment Why aren't some the daily brachot made only once in a lifetime?
@DoubleAA Indeed, I think not-Alex is only providing examples. However, for clothing it would indeed apply (as that is a continuos type of thing). Even for eyesight, one can argue for keeping it healthy.

comment Pregnant and not recommended to get a get
That would be a reason for her not to get married again. Why would it affect whether she can get divorced from the current marriage though (which is what bondonk is asking)?

comment What was the name of Rachel and Leah's mother?
Well gotta ask those 9 people. Do keep in mind this was written in the really early days of the site. Things were different back then. Plus seeing it online is actually a source, just not a very good one. And don't forget the checkmark - Gershon apparently was happy with it too.

@ray I'm not so sure that's true. There's no certainty a gunshot will cause death either...

@DoubleAA Oops. I just realized that it appears at least many say it was the Satan that told Yitzchak...

@DoubleAA Doesn't look like the same question to me.

comment Rav Moshe milk and tuna
@DoubleAA From what I heard they do have a government inspector there but he's liable to miss a few. Plus milk is just so much simpler.

Also: the government doesn't check (or have a fine) for simanim. They do check (and fine) for milk.

comment Standing up at the Chuppa when the Kallah passes by
@DoubleAA True. I was bringing a source for it being a valid custom though. And he himself does at least partially bring a source.

+1 Even though you don't have a source for your answer I really like it!

@DoubleAA I'd imagine you can have cases with one without the other...

@SethJ You wrote above "I'm pretty sure the source for this predates The Kosher Kitchen."
