comment What was the main subject of controversy between the Rabbis and Yeshu (Jesus)?
@Jon Ericson The early Christain history is more than interesting however the question is very different here. One movie that tends to answer my question was "Passion of the Christ" by Mel Gibson. But again that isn't a credible source and depicts the Christian perspective of what happened with Jesus(may peace and blessings be upon him). What i am interested to know is the Jewish perspective and what Rabbis say about him and his preaching. Thanks

@Monica Cellio I also share the same view. The answers here are quite informative but not relevant. The question is what really happened between the Rabbis and the Jesus for them to turn against him? Being a Muslim, I already have the answer from the Quran. I like to know the Jewish perspective.

So what was the year when Rabbis decided to declare Christians as Christians? Also I wonder why this incident only happened in the case of Jesus? Why not before him? I mean were there no false prophets(Jesus according to Judaism)? Was he the first one among the Jews?

I appreciate you answering the question although this is not what I am actually looking for. I like to go back in the biblical times and find what differences were there between Jesus and the Rabbis. Some account of the incidents are narrated in the new testament of the bible but that is not a credible source. I being a Muslim, respect both religions but am very keen to know about the correct historical facts of the 3 Abrahamic Religions namely Judaism, Christianity and Islam. moderator-edited

comment What was daily life like for Jewish women living in al-Andalus in the 10th/11th centuries?
Did i ever say in my comment that there were no Christians in Muslims Spain or Andalus? What i meant to pint out in my comment that under Muslim rule, followers of all the 3 religions were living peacefully and prosperously. As the Quran clearly states: “Let there be no compulsion in religion".

comment Is it permissible for a Jewish woman to marry a Muslim man and vice versa?
You are confusing between "Judaism" and "Zionism" when you say that "Jewishness is a matter of national identity". Can you tell me how a Jew who practices the basic rules of morality via Islam fails his duty as a Jew? Do you know that usury or interest on loan is completely forbidden in Islam while Jews allow it for the non-jews to pay them interest so what do you say about that? Where are the jewish moral guidelines now?

All the 7 Laws of Noah are completely observant for person to be a practising Muslim in Islam. Thngs like Idolatory, Theft, Murder, Sexual Immorality, Blasphemy, Eating flesh of an alive animal and Establising courts of law are what Islam has emphasized from day 1! FYI: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noachide_Laws FYI: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_Shari%27a. So according to you if a Muslim whose mother was a Jew is also a Jew..is it? A person who is an atheist si also a jew just because this person has a Jewish mother...is it? How?

Isn't this sexism? You are prefering a woman over a man for carrying religious identity. Why? Where it is written in the Torah that a person whose mother is a jew happens to be a jew? Please explain

comment Why was the “Ark of the Covenant” lost?
@HodofHod "According to some traditional interpretations of the Book of Exodus,[2] Book of Numbers,[3] and the Letter to the Hebrews[4] the Ark also contained Aaron's rod, a jar of manna and the first Torah scroll as written by Moses" is stated in Wikipedia. How can you say that "The Ark did not contain any of Moshe's or Aharon's personal objects"? FYI: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ark_of_the_Covenant

@Seth J Thanks for updating me. So Talmud being a text central to Jewish mainstream, should be able to pinpoint the exact location and the Ark should have been found by now! Why it is still hidden?

@Monica Cellio What makes the God controversial between a Jew and a Muslim? As far as i know both worship the same omnipotent, one single God. FYI: judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/14461/…
