What sources, prior to the 19th century, support or refute the existence of the Council of Jamnia/Yavneh? Thanks @MonicaCellio ! I actually anticipated crickets on this question. I'm pretty confident this council was invented by a historian in 1871, despite his claim to have drawn on Mishnaic and Talmudic sources. |

What ancient sources discuss the meaning of Psalm 22? @ba Ok, gotcha. I was confused at first because I didn't know who Yonasan was, but I though better of editing it in case there was a good explanation like this (I am only a beginner in Hebrew, took only a couple semesters). Thank you for clarifying! |

What ancient sources discuss the meaning of Psalm 22? @ba thanks for the update. I didn't want to edit your answer as it is a simple typo, but I believe you mean Targum Yonatan, not Yonasan ;) Thanks again for your response! I appreciate it! |

What ancient sources discuss the meaning of Psalm 22? It says, "Our Sages, however, interpreted it as referring to Esther (Mid. Ps. 22:1, Meg. 15b)." Where could I find these works. I do not know what the abbreviations are for. |
