Wouldn't it be cool if a Jewish website opened up that only allowed questions that Chareidim feel comfortable talking about in public?

Why is the total count of Noah's life 950 years when the year of the flood took a full year cycle? @DoubleAA could be, but the narrative doesnt sound like that. It says he exited and lived 600 years after the flood. Sounds like afterwards! But maybe youre right! |

What do Chazal mean when they say that when Moshiach comes there will be another note added to the octave making a total of 8 notes? @MonicaCellio Very simple. One is asking what are these 7 notes based on. This question is asking what is the long term plan of the eighth note regardless of how to understand the seven at the moment. Is it a note that we cant fathom, or is it a new way of dividing up the octave! |

What were Chazal referring to when they said there were 7 notes in a musical octave? @Michoel oh thats what you meant. Well youre right but seemingly each string is for one note. That is why I asked for a source that the Medrash is referring to a scale! |

What were Chazal referring to when they said there were 7 notes in a musical octave? @Michoel in musical terms we refer to notes as a single sound/vibration, and chords as a few notes rightly played at the same time creating a different sound. I assume it must be referring to notes and not chords because there are many more then 8 chords, chords are there to harmonise the notes being played! |
