Actaully, interesting I just read that in Yabia Omer vol. 8 pg. 101 it says that Minhag that wasn't created by a Gadol/Hacham is not a real Minhag. Thus, there would be a problem of Hukot HaGoyim here.

comment Why didn't the Tur discuss traditional Jewish philosophy?
See his introduction. I think he clearly states all the things he writes that are not really things that about belief, rather about action.

@SethJ See the answers below and the Magen Avraham 230 and the Mishna Berura 230:7.

comment Is the Mitzva of Tzitzit on the Gevra or the Cheftza?
@DoubleAA I'm not arguing, I'm asking if each one is separate sechar/mitzva. I'm not in such a lumdisheh mood right now :)

This is also brought down in Mogen Avrohom 230.

Are you implying that if a person wears 10 pairs of Sisit he is only being mekayem on mitzva?

I believe that link to kabalahyoga.com should be removed because of "Lifnei Iver" but that's just my opinion. I think it is quite ridiculous.

comment Can we argue with gedolim when we are sure that we are right?
A question asked to Rav BenSion Musafi Shelit"a "There is man who for hours deals with trying to disprove the words of Gedolim with crooked ways. Is it permissible to listen to his words? And he rules "G-d forbid, stay away my friend away from his words- they disgust the soul." He also brings many sources to this assertion.

@YDK good idea.

comment Was Darius Jewish?
This seams to be a Kashe on the Gemoreh that says that implies he wasn't Jewish. I would re-phrase the question.

We had a problem like this once...I wanted to check on the Cholent and it was Shabbat. Thinking it was Mevushal Kol Tzorcho, I opened it after 6 hours of cooking and it turned out that it wasn't fully cooked yet. So I couldn't even put the cover back on. We took out the cholent form the crock pot, but not knowing someone else put it back in and we had a good Cholent (which BTW was Mutar for us to eat since it was cooked Maachal Ben Derusai).
