Kabbalah is the mystical teachings in Judaism that are mainly based on the Zohar (presumably written by Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai about 1900 years ago) and then later explained by others like Rabbi Yitzhak Luria and Rabbi Yisrael Baal Shem Tov.
