Rav Moshe was in America, Rav Shlomo Zalman in Israel. Did they ever meet? Where and when? Do we have a photo of both of them together? (I know Rav Shlomo Zalman was asked to speak at Rav Moshe's funeral, but that wasn't my question ...)

Per Artscroll - new Wasserman edition "Reb Moshe" page 172 "While Reb Moshe and Reb Shlomo Zalman never met in person"........

The new Artscroll Reb Moshe book mentions that Reb Shlomo Zalman did not speak at his funeral.

Devil's advocate here: B'Artscroll Lo Ra'inu eino raya. Maybe there exists a picture of the two rabbis with their wives or something which Artscroll is squeamish to print. –  Shalom Feb 28 '11 at 20:01

@Shalom: Not printing a picture is one thing; denying that they ever met is something else altogether. –  Alex Apr 27 '11 at 22:47

@Alex: my comment was on an earlier edition of the answer, which simply said "I went through the Artscroll biography and didn't see any picture of them together." The newer update -- Artscroll says they never met -- is stronger. Okay I'll call this answered. –  Shalom May 11 '11 at 19:33
