Seven spokes on the wheel of the Wheel of Time (IIRC R' Aryeh Kaplan says that the world is like a wheel in InnerSpace) that represent the seven ages of the world (with the seventh being the sabbatical era), and seven locks of indestructible heartstone seal the prison that binds the Shai'tan (i.e. Satan, yetzer hara, sitra achra). I once read on the Internet someone theorizing that the author of the WoT series is a closet kabbalist. Could this be true? |
