Here is a song called yoya. I think it is from an israeli band called keveret, fom the '70s. The lyrics can be found here:

Someone told me that there is actually a different song to the same tune that uses different lyrics. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Who sings it? Where can I get the lyrics? An audio file?

Maybe they confused it with that other simcha favorite, MBD's Yidden, which it turns out got its tune from a '70s German song called "Dschinghis Khan." youtube.com/watch?v=0Lb9NIiYIMA – Isaac Moses Dec 31 '10 at 8:00

Or, perhaps, "Kol Hamesameach" by Piamenta, which replicated "Simarik" by Tarkan. – Tzvi Dec 31 '10 at 14:55
Nope and nope. Other lyrics include "nifraditi bain chayim lavamet". – Moshe Dec 31 '10 at 18:58
"ki omrim b'derech klal, shineh makom shineh mazal". That one? – Shalom Jan 10 '11 at 13:34
