Mi Yodeya is a question and answer site for those who base their lives on Jewish law and tradition and anyone interested in learning more. It's 100% free, no registration required.

It says that Adonai gave the people of Israel "favor" in the eyes of the Egyptians. How is it that God caused the Egyptians to look upon the Israelites favorably? It seems to me that He had to work upon their heart or something. You know...the text implies a change of disposition. How did God affect that change?

P.S. Is there no tag already made for "parashas/t-bo"?

Are you asking "what did God do (how did He act)" or "what effect did it produce (how did this manifest)" or something else? –  Monica Cellio Mar 22 '13 at 22:14
