There is no indication that the Northern Tribes created anything other than a tent "mishkan" in Dan and Beis El, or that even the Samaritans built anything other than a mishkan at Gerizim as there was in Shilo, Nov and Givon. However in 2 Chronicles 13 verse 19 it says that Aviyah captured Beis El. Was the place of the sanctuary of Jeroboam, and they had control of it until the exile, or is it a different Beis El? I don't find anything about this in the meforshim (yet). Thanks.

Apparently what happened was NOT a capture but only a siege of Beth El. In fact the king Aviya was punished for several reasons through early death, with on e of the reasons being that he besieged Beth El by did not destroy the egels, which I assume also means the altars used to sacrifice there.
