As is known if a Sefer Torah falls on the floor (even if it's covered) there is a halacha that one must fast. (See this question and answer for many sources on this topic.) What about in a case when Navi or Kesuvim that was written on klaf well on the floor (either when it was covered or not covered it -- if there is any difference in regards to Navi/Kesuvim)?

Ketuvim as well, or just Navi? (I ask because traditionally there are a lot more klafs written from ketuvim than navi so there might be more literature on the topic.) – Double AA Nov 10 '12 at 23:34

@DoubleAA - Navi was the way the shailo was asked but ain hachi nami, kesuvim also (which ever sources might be found.) Is there a difference in Kedusha though betwween Navi and Kesuvim? Do you have a re'ah for this? – Yehoshua Nov 11 '12 at 6:10
From Rama YD 282:19 it seems they would have the same din, but in case someone found otherwise I though I would ask you to clarify. If the scope of your question is broader than you included above, why not edit it to generalize the question? – Double AA Nov 11 '12 at 6:20
@DoubleAA - I knew that's the answer (that there is no difference) so I was just pointing out that if you answer the question on Navi the other one is answered as well. Or if you bring a re'ah for Kesuvim then Navi is also answered however I could possibly edit it. Maybe I'll do that later. Or anyone else is free to edit it. – Yehoshua Nov 11 '12 at 6:33

As noted in the linked question, the source of the minhag is from Mishpetei Shemuel 12. He brings a saying of the people (quoted in Shulchan Aruch OC 288:5) that one must fast if he sees a Torah burnt in his sleep. He extends this rule to fasting when a Torah is dropped by his own logic, and then extends it again to tefillin being dropped based on a gemara (Moed Kattan 26a) which says that if a Torah or tefillin is forcefully burnt one must rend one's clothes. As the Rosh (Moed Katan 3:64, ruled in Shulchan Aruch YD 340:37) extends the requirement of clothes-rending to even "one parsha from Nevi'im or Ketuvim", it would seem that the Mishpetei Shemuel's logic follows here as well.
