I'm guessing our biggest challenge is coming up with questions that are a good fit to our Q&A format. We expect answers to generally involve facts, references, or specific expertise; this question will likely solicit opinion, debate, arguments, polling, or extended discussion. – Double AA Feb 26 '12 at 18:25
@DoubleAA very good one. I agree with your evaluation, but it really is a good question. – Hacham Gabriel Feb 26 '12 at 18:27

@HachamGabriel, if you'd like to make a case for changing the site's policy with respect to open-ended questions (or anything else), you're welcome to do so in a Mi Yodeya Meta post. – Isaac Moses Feb 27 '12 at 15:02

There are 4 Major challenges of our Generation.

  1. The Internet.
  2. Israel, English speaking Aliyah, and dealing with what will happen when the majority of Jews live in Israel.
  3. Atheism.
  4. A Lack of recognized leadership and divisiveness.

Many of the same issues, also existed in the 1920s, except then Telephone and Radio took the place of the internet. Also interesting, is that in the 1920s the world was also dealing with global economic issues.

Do you really think this question should not be closed? In what way does this answer involve facts, references, or specific expertise? – Double AA Feb 26 '12 at 18:31
I voted to close, but I also thought there were some obvious answers, that are unique to the time in history. It can go either way. If brushed up, it's a valid question. – avi Feb 26 '12 at 18:41
