Is one who has the minhag of Reb Yehuda Hachassid to not shave or take a haircut on rosh chodesh (as outlined in his will) allowed to shave and or take haircuts when Rosh Chodesh comes out on Erev Shabbos?

The Mishna Berurah (OC 260 end of sk 7 quoting the Magen Avraham 260 sk 0) says that those who follow the Will of Rabbi Yehuda HaChasid do not trim their fingernails of take haircuts on Rosh Chodesh even if it is on Friday.

Double AA, he doesn't say everyone who follows RY hachasid doesn't shave on Friday rosh chodesh. He only says some, following RY hachasid, don't shave on Friday rosh chodesh. That doesn't mean there aren't those who follow RY hachasid and shave Friday rosh chodesh. – msh210♦ Feb 26 '12 at 8:20

M"B 493:5 permits shaving on Erev Rosh Chodesh Iyar when it falls on Friday (despite being during Sefira). This is notable because whenever Rosh Chodesh Iyar falls on Shabbos, Friday is also Rosh Chodesh. Thus M"B allows shaving on Rosh Chodesh, at least when it is on a Friday. – Barry Dec 13 '12 at 21:01
